Hearts Full of Gratitude – Transformation Awards
The Center for Respite Care is honored and grateful for all the support we receive from our community and donors; in particular, the gracious support of sponsors for our yearly event, the Transformation Awards. As the Center and our community have been challenged in every way by the worldwide pandemic, we’ve been fortunate to continue to hold our event virtually for the past two years, under the guidance of long-time co-chairs and board members, Diana Klinedinst and Martha Schuler.
As always, Diana and Martha did a stellar job orchestrating many moving parts, culminating in a beautiful event and video. Through their leadership, the Center has an enduring list of sponsors, netting the agency much needed revenue, especially in this time of uncertainty. We are pleased to report that we earned $110,000, net of expenses, so far this year. Importantly, we will continue to accept donations to this event—please see below for the link.
Our Transformation Awards has been a tradition for many years and is an important opportunity to recognize key members of our community who make a difference in our world. We are encouraged and delighted to recognize local volunteers and movers and shakers who step up and touch the lives of our clients and vulnerable people through meals, donations, opportunities, and a listening ear.
To our sponsors and long-time allies: we couldn’t do it without you! Channel 12 and FC Cincinnati have been a key aspect of our success, as well. Channel 12 has provided annual public service announcements (PSA) that promote our campaign for the past seven years. Liz Bonis as our emcee is invaluable, and provides “free” air time for the PSAs.
FC Cincinnati has provided an annual campaign spokesman for six years; four of which have been goal keeper coach Jack Stern:
“I am pleased that this is my fourth year as the Honorary Campaign Chairman for the Center for Respite Care. Team leadership has demonstrated an enduring commitment to this region. It is this passion that brings us together.
My parents modeled community involvement throughout my young years. It is important to my family that we help vulnerable members of society – and the Center has been the place in which both the team and I can do just that.”
