Transformation Awards 2018
On October 11, 2018, over 300 people gathered at Xavier University’s Cintas Center, and raised over $148,000 for the Center for Respite Care. The “Transformation Awards” event honors individuals and organizations who have transformed life for Cincinnatians. Honorees were selected based on their commitment to both the Center for Respite Care and improving life for adults who are ill and homeless.
Laurel Derks Nelson, the Center’s CEO, said. “The recipients we are honoring this evening share with us a belief in the power of transformation. They have impacted the lives of individuals and our community. They share a generosity of spirit which believes that given the opportunity individuals can create a hopeful future for themselves and those around them. This level of commitment improves life for our most vulnerable. Our collective support gets folks on a positive track and into a more stable living situation. Special thanks to our event co-chairs Diana Klinedinst, Martha Schueler and Rebecca Beckstedt.”
