From Transformation Awards to Our Annual Campaign
Our annual Transformation Awards launched on September 15th. The virtual presentation is still active and available on our website. We are pleased that we have already raised over 111K. The Center does not receive United Way funds. We rely upon individual generosity, the Hamilton County Tax Levy, and grants. Thanks to all who have contributed.
We now embark upon our 2022-2023 annual campaign which commences shortly. In past years –we have engaged an honorary spokesperson and have been pleased to be joined by key FC players-coaches, Cincinnati Bengals, and top University of Cincinnati officials. This year – our campaign is centered upon the people we serve – our clients.
We are here to ensure that people experiencing homelessness and who are ill have a safe place to recover and heal. Once they leave us, we place them in more stable housing conditions and assist with the location of gainful employment. This year, Jo Harmon, who was once a client and now is a board member – joins us in campaign leadership.
We thank Channel 12 – who – for many years running is our official media partner. As such, in October the station will take public service announcements (PSA’s) that feature our CEO, Laurel Nelson, and Joe. They will ask the public to support the Center. These spots run from January through March.
Jo Harmon is the embodiment of all that the center provides. Through the Center, he was able to regain his eyesight, locate employment, and a stable place to live. We are proud of Joe and grateful that he continues to work with us as we help others.
As the campaign continues, we will provide stories of others. Please consider a contribution.
