2024-25 Annual Appeal update – two months to go!
The Center for Respite Care’s Annual Appeal commenced the first of November and runs through March 31st. This is the time of year that we focus on raising much-needed funds from our generous individual donors. The Center’s other sources of income are governmental (local, county and state) as well as numerous foundations, corporations, and area hospitals. We do not receive United Way funding.
The Annual Appeal is also a multi-month period in which we raise awareness of the services that we provide our clients. For the past 21 years the Center has worked to ensure that people experiencing homelessness who confront illness have a safe place to recover. We are the only local organization that provides these services. Our services are cost effective, breaking the cycle of life on the street, medical crisis, care in the emergency room and hospitalization.
A stay at the Center provides a path to wellness and stability in the wider community. Our focus is on a client’s physical health along with case management that provides access to the services of our multiple community partners.
We are eternally grateful to the team at Channel 12 — who over many years have helped to raise awareness of the Center’s services. We are pleased to announce the recent public service announcement (PSA) that they have produced for us and will run throughout the appeal.
In addition to monetary donations, we also rely on contributions to the Center’s Wish-List and the ongoing support of volunteer engagement. Please check out the volunteer page on our website. https://www.centerforrespitecare.org/volunteer/

Our deepest thanks to all who contribute to the Center on behalf of our clients. We could not do it without you. You make the mission happen!
